To Be a Student at The University of Agronomic Sciences and Veterinary Medicine in Bucharest
For our students, the student years are not only that period in life during which they train for their future profession, but also the most beautiful years of their youth… ”carefree and short of money”.
From this point of view, the university is interested in providing not only excellent conditions for professional training, but also living conditions at European standards.
The two campuses offer not only accommodation and catering possibilities, but also various and pleasant leisure activities, supported by the exceptional facilities - football fields, table football, tennis, volleyball, basketball, handball, a polyvalent sports hall with more than 1,000 seats, a billiard and table tennis club, several terraces, free internet access and cable TV in the dormitory rooms, etc.
Every year, the UASVM Bucharest Students’ League - the heir of a tradition covering more than 140 years (in 1869, the “Pupils’ Reading Society” was established within the National Agricultural School in Pantelimon, and it had its own publication - “The Embryo”), organises “The Spring Cup” in football and billiards, “The Freshers’ Ball”, the complex event “Folk fMrM vârstM” (Ageless Folk), the “Agronomia Cup” in several sports, the “Cinefilm” movie festival, an angling competition, trips, as well as tennis, dance classes, etc.
To be a student at UASVM Bucharest also means the possibility to complete training courses, lasting for 3 to 12 months, in similar universities in Europe, as well as the possibility to take part in practical activities in specialised institutions in Europe.
